additional software for viewing. There are many formats in use today the most
common are listed below...
WinZip will
allow you to open files with the
file extension *.zip. Zip is a compressed file which takes up less storage
space used for archiving and sending large files via email.
WinRAR
will allow you to open files
with the file extension *.rar. Rar is a compressed file which takes up less
storage space used for archiving and sending large files via email.
There are many other types of archive -
compressed files available *.UHA is one of the newer types with
*7-zip (7z) being a free readily available archiver, which you can use with 7z,
ZIP, RAR, CAB, GZIP, BZIP2, and TAR formats.
There are many multi-format archive
programs available
Squeez being the one I personally like. It's simple to use and covers
the most common formats.
There are many browsers available to you
as internet user the best known are Microsoft Internet Explorer and Netscape. If
you want to try an alternative try Opera which has the advantage of being a
tabbed browser. Or try Firefox Both

Firefox are
fast and adaptable to your needs.
Acrobat Reader
will allow you to read reports and promotion material with the file extension *.pdf
An Adobe product. There are alternative PDF format viewers available. PDF
format is one of the most commonly used for document downloads from the
internet. Acrobat Readers latest version is too large to download if you only
have a dial up connection.
